Last weekend, we had the pleasure of shooting Saumea and Gajan’s wedding. This is the Love Story/Highlights clip we’ve put together for them which was shown on the big screen at their reception. Let us know what you think.
A while ago, we posted a photo sampler from Amita & Shravan’s wedding. Here is the highlights clip we’ve put together for them. Their day was filled with lots joy and emotion. We made sure that reflected in their highlights; From Shravan’s quick dance lesson before the Barat (arrival of the groom) to an emotional speech by Amita’s brother at the reception, this was truly a joyous occasion. We would like to thank Amita & Shravan for including us in their special day and giving us the creative freedom.
Priya & Roshan tied the knot in a beautiful Konkanies Hindu ceremony on July 12, 2008. The ceremony brought together both families in a traditionally elegant way.
However, their reception was all about “Bringing Sexy Back”. The couple set the mood for the reception by performing a choreographed dance to “Bringing Sexy Back” as a surprise to their guests. So we decided to also keep that as our theme for their wedding teaser. Enjoy!

Premica & Deva got engaged last weekend in a beautiful affair at Mississauga Convention Centre. This is a Love Story clip that we produced for them prior to the event, which was shown on the big screen at the engagement.
Our intention was to showcase their love for each-other as well as their personalities, and what better way than to interview them on camera. Premica & Deva enthusiastically shared their stories of how they met and fell in love. Check it out.

A few weeks ago, we posted engagement shoot photo sampler of Tharmila & Haran. Last week, they got hitched not once but twice. How cool is that?!?! They had the pleasure of going through the whole ‘getting married experience’ twice! Once with a Hindu ceremony and then again with a Catholic ceremony. I put together a highlights clip from their Hindu ceremony day to show at their reception 4 days later. We are thrilled to share this clip with you as it was a big hit with their guests. Let us know what you think.

Not just another walk in the park!
When does one get to dress up, drive downtown, be spontaneous, goof off, go on a hike up a steep hill in high heels and end up in an abandoned building? On an engagement shoot with the ButterflySquad ofcourse. As our clients Tharmila & Haran found out last week, their engagement shoot was no walk in the park.
We started the day on our friendly downtown streets and ended up in an abandoned building halfway across town. Tharmila & Haran gave us all the creative freedom and put their full trust in our very unconventional engagement photo shoot. Thanks Tharmila & Haran, your open mindedness made our work easier and every bit enjoyable.
Here are some of the photos from this shoot. Feel free to leave your comments.

With Dolly hogging the blog with few consecutive photo posts, I thought it’s about time for me to steal the spotlight with a post of my own.
Few weeks back, we posted a photo sampler from Sulaxan’s First holy communion. I’ve put together a small intro clip from the morning, which leads to the party in the evening. Unlike many other kids we filmed over the years, Sulaxan is one of the few who enjoys all the attention a camera brings to him. There wasn’t a single dull moment; we enjoyed covering his first holy communion as much as he did. I really like the way this piece turned out. Check out this fun little clip I’ve put together and feel free to leave your comments.
On Sunday, we were with Jyoti and Devang, as they tied the knot in a Gujarati Hindu ceremony. ButterflySquad were the photographers for this incredibly beautiful event. Joe, Ramesh and I spend the entire day following the happy couple, getting to know their friends and families and capturing their day as it unfolded into a fantastic elaborate event.
At the end of the day Joe mused sadly, about how, after getting to know someone and becoming part of their family for a day, getting hit with a flying coconut, eating their delicious food and being in the middle of a Garba dance at the end of the night, we have to leave. Well Joe, we might have to leave, but the images we captured will be with them forever. Here are some photographs from that day.

Last Saturday, Amita and Shravan tied the knot in a Hindu ceremony and ButterflySquad was there to capture the event. Ramesh and Sean were on Video as Joe and I photographed the entire event from preparation to reception.
We felt privileged to be part of such a traditional and colourful start to an incredible couple’s lives. Here are some of the photographs from the day. Enjoy!
